Last week my pieces arrived safe and sound at Safe Haven Rescue Zoo in Imlay, NV. I was so honored that they wanted five of my pieces to not only hang on their walls, but also be featured in their up coming silent auction this month.

Safe Haven is a wonderful organization that takes in abused, neglected, abandoned wildlife. They give them a place to live in peace and health. Many of the creatures they take in are big cats, which is of course a favorite of mine to paint.

They have African Serval Cats, one of which was an exotic pet that was abandoned in California. Luckily, he was sent to Safe Haven and not killed. I have a photo of two of the Servals at Safe Haven and loved it, so I painted it. The piece is Friendship. Yesterday I was thrilled to learn the Friendship had Sold. I have the honor of painting another piece for Safe Haven to hopefully sell again.

Safe Haven does so much for these animals which is the whole reason why I am involved with them. I can only hope to stay involved with them while spreading the word even more about not only them, but the importance of saving wildlife. Along with saving the environment we all share. Earth.
